I have 3 brand new WIC-2T cards installed in 3 2621s. The company sold me the following serial cables; CAB-SS-530MT and CAB-SS-232FC. When I try to bring up the serial interfaces the interface stays up but the protocol goes down after a couple of minutes. Do I have the wrong cables? I intially asked for the V35 cables. I followed the documention on Cisco's website regarding serial interfaces. If anyone can help, I really appreciate it.

You have the wrong cables. Or, more specifically, your cable types don't match. You have one RS-232 cable and one RS-530 cable. They need to be the same.

It would be even better if you got the V.35 cables you asked for because they would support higher speeds. Neither of those cables is V.35.

HTH,
John
