What combo of keystrokes could make an email disappear as it is being written?

When this happens, there is no evidence of it anywhere. It is gone!

Running Outlook Express, 6.0 in XP. Have had similar problem with it in W98, in past.

The ESC button is the only one I can think of that would do that for OE.

Ctrl+A will select the whole text, then any typing after that will erase everything.

Normally you can get it back with Ctrl+Z (Edit->Undo)
