Why my DBF is not Appending?

I have a command from by commandbutton like this:

SELE INVOICE
APPEND BLANK
REPLACE INVOICENO With Thisform.Text1.VALUE

HOW come the record is not appending to my file(dbf) from this command? Can anybody please help?

I tried to look at my file. The record is still zero.
