Why can't I see my images?

I have an HTML email template set up and when I originally set it up I could see all the images in the Dreamweaver "Desgin" window. Once I had everything looking like I wanted, I changed all the links from relative to absolute so that the email would work. As soon as I changed the links to absolute links, they "greyed" out. Why is that? Is there a setting or something I can change so that I can still view the images even if I have absolute paths?

I am not sure, but I think you would have to have the exact same folder setup on your PC as your web server, and have the main directory set in the site properties as the route fodler on the PC.

However, the issue you are reporting always happens to me as I always use absolute URLs, though it doesn't bother me, as hitting F12 previews it in the browser and shows how it should look

in line with JohnOB ,
publish the site so that urls/paths point to your then (view source-copy-paste) use the same html in your email. you are not sending the images but rather only the code that is to pull images from your site. no one wants to receive 4-6MB worth of subscription email
All the best!
