This morning, our email server was down. IT was using over 1.2 GB of memory and was on a hault. WHen I restarted the information store services, everything back to normal and the memory usage was down to 4 something.

WHatI couldn't understand was that in the directory there were 8,056 file of BAD/BDR/BDP file in the mailroot/vis/badmail folder?

If anyone know why or article related to such situation, please let me know. Love always,

I believe a copy of all incoming mail that is undeliverable to your domain(s) is stored in the badmail folder.

I am sure you can delete the badmail files without any problems, and you should be able to limit the size of the badmil folder somewhere in exchange manager, sorry, dont remember where.
