We recently took a lightning hit which caused our 81c to drop down to about 20% phone capacity while we desperatley tried to find some cards needed for repair.
So here is my question/concept?
Are there any Meridian 1 users in the Southern Indiana who would be willing to be on a Emergency Spares list.
My concept would be a list of other users who would be willing to lend or even sell critical spare cards in the event of an emergency.(after you have attempted to find what you need from a vendor) Users on the list would then in turn be able to call on any other users in the event of an emergency.
Sometimes even vendors don't have what you need the same day even if you are willing to drive two states away to pick it up.
It seems an agreement of some sort could be drawn up for companys who are willing to participate.
What do you think? I am willing to lend out cards knowing that I may need the same assistance in a future emergency.
Is there anyone willing to try and set up a Emergency Lending CO-OP? Is this just a bad idea?
I appreciate your time.

I saw your old post on Tek-Tips, where are you located at in southern Indiana, I currently have a Nortel Meridian 1 61C, and I'm located in southern Indiana, and I have been in the position with a lightin hit and was down for 8 to 10 hours, wating for parts from another state.
Let me know what you think.

HairBall1,
Read your reply, and I'm in Butlerville, In, Jennings County where my PBX is located, we had a Maintenance Contract. Need to tell phnguy, they dropped the Maintenance Contract, so I got the job to take care of the PBX.
Thanks for repling to my reply to your post.
