I may be wrong as I have not actually used this feature with Prairiefyre but my understanding was that the system could present a canned announcement that both the Agent AND the caller could hear for the purpose of stating "Your call may be recorded type messaging". This saves the agent from the obligation and the prompt can be recorded in the agents own voice for seemless transition.
I have never heard of a system that would inform the agent of the caller info in the form of a recorded message. There are other methods that Mitel uses that I think are quite adequate.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.
The solution that is being described is a predifined message that announces for example "Sales Call" to the agent for all queues within the Sales queue group.
