One thing I cant seem to solve is the ability to limit the size of a worksheet to the amount of data there is.

For example all my data fits with an a4 sheet, but whenI go to prit preview it says the worksheet is 4 pages long (3 pages of white space)

How can I get rid of this? It is anoying to have to select a print range whenever I want to print.

Thanks

Caspar,

I'd guess that you either have FORMULAS or FORMATTING on those BLANK pages.

SOLUTION: Use the AutoFilter to HIDE (NonBlank) rows.

The thing is when I hide 10 rows or coloumn, then 10 more appear-it is almost like I create them automatically.

The only 'known' formatting was a select all and designate a background colour when I started. But it seems the that select all counts for all cells created after the select all happened.

Is this correct? if so then by doing select all I will have a worksheet that cannot be limitedto an a4 page?

The only issue about this is that I have to print a range instead of being ableto print worksheet if hat makes any sense.

If you View/Page Break Preview, it will select everything up to and including what's referred to as the Used Range on the sheet.

This will show you what needs to be DELETED -- not just hitting the [DELETE] key, but Deleting entire rows or columns.

And besides that, as lomg as you have set your print range using File / Print area / Set Print area and saved your file, it will retain those settings, so next time you just hit print.
