I know that this will appear as a bit of a basic question - but I am still relatively new to this Linux thingy.

I hav a machine set up with mandrake 9.1, it has Apache 2 installed and running without any problems.

My question is which httpd.cong file does it use? I have the following:

httpd2.conf - etc/httpd/conf
httpd.conf - etc/httpd/conf
httpd.conf - usr/share/ADVX/compat

how did you start the apache(httpd) ?
if you have a `apachectl' script, cat this file and look for something similar with /usr/sbin/httpd,
this is httpD(aemon).
