i work in a small business ~ 100 nodes. I have some cisco switches but would like to experiement with another ip range, currently using 192.168.1.x. I would like to use 192.168.3.x or 10.0.1.x .

Which router on ebay would allow me to tunnel my traffic from the 10.0.1.x/192.168.3.x to network connectivity on the 192.168.1.x

Thanks

All routers are designed to move traffic between subnets. The think you should be looking for is what interface connections are you wanting to use. i.e. Ethernet, V.35, ATM or so forth.

If you wanting to play, I'd suggest you look into getting a L3 Switch (if your wanting an Ethernet or Fast Ethernet connection) as I think you'd have more fun. If your looking for a specific business purpose then more details are required to make a sound choice.

im going to be getting a L3 switch eventually but wanted a router to expierment with. lan to lan interfaces are needed. anything else I should consider?

You have a ton of options then, all you need is a dual Ethernet or FastEthernet router. I'd go with a dual FastEthernet as you can trunk to them and make sub-interfaces. A 2621 would be a great choice and they are cheap.
