I have the following services that need to run in my environment, and would love to get them all running on one Windows 2003 server box, if possible.

Web Server
Exchange Server
Domain Controller (w/ Active Directory)
Print Server
DHCP Server

I currently have Windows 2003 Standard Edition installed, and an unable to access my webpage. (It appears as if the IIS service has been removed from services.msc) (Althought there is a shortcut to it in Administrative Tools and it shows are running, but still cannot access my webpage.

Is there such a version that will do all of this? (on one box)

Thanks for your help

I'm hoping you did not implement all of this on an external box that can be seen by the net...Just asking for trouble.

To answer your question, yes, you can run all of those apps on one machine. What kind of errors are you getting with regards to your web server? Have you loaded/set your IIS to default to any pages? Have you used the IP instead of the name (could be a DNS issue).

Standard Edition will do all that although MS would say you should use Enterprise.

If you got problems with the web page then it's a config issue not a lack of functionality. IIS isn't installed by default in 2003.

Thanks for the replies.

I have wiped that system and gone back to Windows 2000 (from Windows 2003).

Out of curiousity, any ideas why i would have had these problems.

After the install, my website was no longer accessible, although IIS appeared to be running.

My DOCUMENTS tab in IIS had listed the correct index file (index.html)

What would have changed from the upgrade?
Ive never worked with IIS 6 (which I understand is the version that W2K3 installs)

Any ideas?

Thanks for any advice.
