Hi guys, I have a question about how WindowsXP uses login credentials to mapped drives.
I am an Admin on a LAN but I log into my machine locally and not to the domain. If I need to do any administrative functions I RDP/PCAnywhere into my servers with my Domain Admin account.
The thing is, sometimes I have to access network shares and drives from local machine so when it asks for network credentials, I input my Domain Admin account (because of server permissions). As a test today, I tried to access an otherwise secure drive for Accounting and was able to map to it and view everything without supplying any credentials. Where can I see and delete these credentials?
My fear is not for me but the fact that at one time I may access a share for some regular Joe user and the credentials will stay in memory and thus let him/her access private shares.
