Hello,

I want to start coding Perl, and am looking for a good place to start. I have already learnt various other languages, but Perl seems from a glance to have a bit of a bite to it.

Any tutorials or good references sites, would be much appreciated.

Thanks again Chris MacPherson

Nah, Perl is probably one of the easiest languages to learn, since it borrows from so many languages.

Hence the name Pathologically Eclectic Rubbish Lister. Eclectic - coming from many sources.

Anyways, check out and Those are probably the best places to search.

You can always just search on a search engine as well.

If you want access to a lot of scripts, try cgi.resourceindex.com.

This question has been answered a lot so search in other threads on what other people have said. vic cherubini

I strongly recommend the two canonical source books for Perl. Learning Perl, by Randal Schwartz, et al. (ISBN: 1565922840), and Programming Perl, by Larry Wall, et al., (ISBN: 0596000278).

I have those books, and they're pretty dog-eared by now.
