I am currently the administrator in a server 2003 enterprise environment. I understand the basics on clustering but there are a few points that I need clarified.

What we are looking to do is setup 2 clusters; one web server and one sql server. We would like to have one node of each cluster here in office and the other at an offsite location which is connected by a t1 ptp. My question is, a) how would i connect them in a private LAN, b) how would I go about using a storage device for each cluster.

For the web servers, you'd likely use wlbs for the web servers.

For SQL, you're talking about a geographically dispersed mscs cluster. You use replication to keep storage on both sides in sync. a t1 sounds awfully small to do that.

In both cases, wlbs and MSCS, you'll have to stretch a vlan across the WAN.
