Where to find system management in 2003? 1

I'm trying to get into the system management piece on my 2003 small businuess server and I can't find it. Does anyone know how I can get to it via path name. For some reason my shortcuts don't work.

2003 has the new management console that should appear on your Start Menu.

If that icon has become corrupt, it points to:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Administration\LaunchConsole.exe"

Yeah that help out a lot. Would you by any chance know how to reinstall server management.

If the EXE is corrupt you should be able to restore it from the Installation CD.

If you are just looking to fix the shortcut, then I'd say add a new one like any normal shortcut and pin it to the start menu.

We recently bought SBS 2003 and none of the tools like server console are present. Anyone have this experience?

Hi Guys,

I have recently had the same problem.

If you haven't found a solution yet. Try the following:

Run from the SBS2003 CD1
d:\setup.exe ( or continue setup shortcut )

When it gets to the configuration page. (Can't remember exact names but) - Under the first list of programs "select maintenence" - and ensure the "administration" is installed. You also might like to install the "networking" component aswell.

Painfuly the SBS 2003 Server is not very popular, and the people who have it, allways have troubles with the support.
