I added a shutdown script in the Local Group Policy. Now I want to find the location of this script in the registry, so I can expot it as a .reg file and copy it to other computers, but... I can not find it in the registry.

bcastner,
What I want to do is copy this script to other computers AND have it run at shutdown. Simply copying the script to the same folder location on other computers will not have it run on shutdown. Your response informed me of a file called scripts.ini. I copied that file also but it still will not run. I must be missing something somewhere. What I don't want to do is have to open the group policy editor on each and every computer. There must be another way.

This must be a Workgroup setting.

There is a provision to copy the Administrative Templates portion of Group Policy in such a setting:
But, NOTE: The only settings you can transfer from one client to another are the settings from Administrative Templates.

Which excludes the scripts.

This might work:
It might be better to create a script for all shutdown activities, and drop an icon on the user desktops to handle the entire shutdown process. Do a keyword search here for the word 'shutdown' in the thread topic line for several discussions of MS and third-party shutdown utilities.
