I am currently running 6.61 Enterprise Ed. using a SQL database. Backup jobs are getting hung or the server running ARCserve is blue screening. The bluse screen trap is usually the IRQL for the Adaptec SCSI cards used to attach the two ADIC tape libraries, but all is up-to-date on the drivers and firmware.
After installing the SP1 for ARCserve, CA instructs you to rerun the Tape Library Option, doing this causes my 2 tape devices to show as "offline."
For more than a month I have been following the advise of CA's tech support on this with no results. Has anyone had the same experience with the product? If so, what did you do?

I have all of my scsi cards on seperate irqs, in spite of the fact they are all on pci slots. I have also given them unique ids to prevent any conflicts. All of this has been reviewed by level 2 tech support at CA for more than 2 months to no avail. My lastest attempts to repair were to upgrade to SQL7.0 from v6.5. This may have some hope. No serious problems yet, but I am only 48 hours into that repair scenerio.

Do u have tape drivers loaded in nt. If so remove them [arcserve has its own drivers]. Does this happen with just one scsi card in the system and try older scsi card drivers [sounds daft but it happens sometimes on newer drivers]
