Hi
I've created a toolbar that's used within Excel. It was originally written for Office 97 on Windows 98, updated to handle Office 97 on Windows 2000, and am now updating for Office XP on Windows XP.
My problem is that when you create a toolbar in Excel on Windows 98 or 2000, a toolbar configuration file is created in the Windows folder under the logged on users name, ie abc is logged on, creates a toolbar and an abc8.xlb file is created that has the configuration of the toolbar, buttons, macro calls, etc.
I would normally cut this file from the Windows folder, and rename it to the name of the toolbar, then distibute it as the toolbar configuration file. Anytime the toolbar is needed then users would activate the toolbar configuration file, or paste it in to their xlstart folder.
I design all my toolbars to use the Personal.xls workbook to store the macros and have this available from the xlstart folder so as to always be available to any toolbars I create.
I need to do the same with Office XP on Windows XP but don't know where the toolbar configuration files are, or what they're called. I've created the toolbar but need to use the configuration file in order to distribute the it.
I've only just installed XP and am trying to find my way about.
My original toolbars don't work as the folder names within office have changed, from office\office to office\office10.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
