Hello,

I want 2 find out what I need 2 add as project component so I can have controls such as:Treeview, form splitter, Toolbar control etc'.

If someone has such a list of what components do what, or a link to such a list on the web that'll B great.

What do I add 4 the 3 mentioned above?

Thanks.

Include Microsoft Windows Common Control 6.0 for treeview, toolbar etc. Not sure about form splitter.

Thanks guys,

What about the entire list???
Any idea?!

The 'entire list' consist of a few basic controls which are installed with your package - AND whatever else happes to have been installed and 'registered' by the various additional applications which are (even partially) instaled on your system.

THEN, it gets interesting. Some controls are 'available' simply because they are installed by some app, but they are not (necessarily) licensed for general use. So you might be able to use them in developmnent - but not for distributition, or you MIGHT be able to ILLEGALLY use them for distribution.

So, a better answer is to use only controls which are part of the standard packege, or to assure that you know your rights with respect to each control.

Hey MichaelRed,

Thanks 4 your answer,

Might I ask U another question?! mm..

So, I am looking at this:

& I don't seem 2 find this
"2. Click the Buttons property to select it and click the Ellipsis ..."
where they say it is.

What do U think?
Do I have the wrong set of controls (MSCOMCTL.OCX (SP4), COMCT232.OCX (SP2), MSCOMCT.OCX (SP4),
COMCT332.OCX (SP5))???

What am I missing here?

Thanks again.

Are you working with VB6 or VB.Net?

The reference above refers to VB.Net. Let me know if this helps
