Can someone tell me why everytime I create a VB6 Form, a FoxPro file is also automatically created in my prj folder and what is the FoxPro file for? Will I mess things up if I delete the FoxPro files?

It seems that the FoxPro file is not created for all of my VB Form, but only created if I have specific controls on my VB Form, for example, an Adodc/DataGrid.

VB "compiles" .Frm (form SOURCE) files into .FRX (Object) Files.

Thanks, Michael, that explains the mystery. Here's a star for your input!

To be more precise;

An .FRX file is a binary data file used to store binary information for the form (.FRM) file with the same file name.

Some controls, such as the PictureBox and Image controls, have properties that use binary data as their values. Visual Basic stores the binary data in an .FRX file with the same file name as the Form file. The .FRX file is a proprietary format.

Refer "what is an frx file"
