Hi there.

Whenever I reformat my machine and reinstall Dreamweaver, or when I want to install Dreamweaver on another system, I always have to recreate my site definitions, and it takes forever! Does anyone know where these settings are stored and how I can back them up?

Thanks!
Jeff~

It takes just a few seconds here's how:

Click "SITE"--> "Define Sites" in the pop up choose "NEW"

name it whatever you want (first line)
it's location (local root folder) ie. c:\my_flash_files

That's it...

Have Fun...

Thanks Sharky, but that's not what I meant.

I know how to define sites, I have around 30 that I maintain. What I mean is, once the sites are defined and I've entered names, directory structures, FTP info, etc., can I then SAVE the defined sites info, or is there a file somewhere that saves that information, so that when I reinstall Dreamweaver on another machine I don't have to type in all that information for my 30 sites again.

Thanks,
Jeff~

oups..sorry can't find any files containing the infos you want.

The only files about the site i fund are there:

C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 4\Configuration\SiteCache

there you have too litle info about the site (site.dws)
each has it's own .dws but contains only links to pics and all couldn't find any about FTP,etc...

I even tried to move it, delete the site(in DW) then move it back but DW didn't access it...

after 1 1/2 hour i give up sorry..... Have Fun...
