When you get someone's VM when dialing outbound... 1

When our users call someone externally and get VM, is there a way to program a button to leave a pre-recorded message that is custom per user on that external person's VM so they can get on to the next call?

You can have them press a button to transfer to a module that plays a menu, and have that menu timeout to a Disconnect.
 
If you have V/M Pro you could try using a CLI Routing action so the VM routes to an announcement specific to the user that dialled it. Then each user can have a personal message that is played.

OK. I got it working for the most part using CLI Routing. The only problem is...there is about 2 seconds of our hold music at the beginning of the message from transfering the call. Is there a way to avoid the hold music when transferring for this module?
 
Don't tranfer blind. Wait for the V\m to answer before completing tranfer

I think the MOH starts immediately when I hit the transfer button the first time. I've been able to avoid the MOH in the recording by doing a quick transfer-shortcode button-transfer. I think it would be hard to train our reps to do this though. And if they did take a second too long that might look bad to the person on the other end getting a second or two of our hold music before the message.
