When would you use MS-OLAP , when relational tables

I am trying to gather information on when you would want to use a cube and when you would want to use relational tables

You would use OLAP when you want to provide a reporting facility, i.e. you don't know exactly how or what the users are going to report on.

You would use relational tables (perhaps with a report generation tool like Crystal Reports) when there are a finite fixed set of reports. My home ---->
