when using Quark 5, does anyone know how to continually save over a file without it throwing up the save menu and then having to replace it? It's doing my head in!

You need to save the file as Version 5, not version 4. Once this has been done, every time you open the file you can save with out that problem. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.
