When my Pc awakes from Standby, USB printer fails

Hi,

If I tell XP to go into Stanby mode, when I return, the USB printer loses communication. I am using a ASUS P4s8x motherboard(with latest drivers), XP pro with latest updates, Lexmark 85 printer/scanner/copier.
I don't have any other usb devices to test if they also fail when returning from standby.
If anyone has any input, that would be great.
