Hi everybody

I am posting this again

We have a local domain xx.org, our external mails and web site are hosted by another company(remote) registered the same domain name xx.org
the problem is when we try to access or we receive the error "The page cannot be displayed".
We can access the pages if we specify an ip address( this is a workaround).

Please, your advice

Why you worry? Life is too short to worry.

You need to add the external IP for the xx.org and mail.xx.org into your DNS pointing to the correct servers.

Thanks

Do you mean I have to configure another lookup zone? As there will be a difference in subnetmask.

Nope. You're going to have a forward lookup zone named xx.org. In that you'll enter a record for point it to the proper IP, same thing for mail.

In your local domain, add 2 host records called mail in your primary DNS server - most likely in your 1st domain controller.
In the IP address part of the record, for host record "www" put in the IP address for and for host record "mail" the IP adderss for mail.xx.org.

Get staff to type in http:\\ now instead of http:\\xx.org
