Hello All,

When I save a file on my ZIP drive, what and where does info get saved on the hard drive referring to that ZIP file, either in Windows or DOS or Registry.

Thanks,

Bucky

When you save data to a disk, the directory of the disk is updated, the FAT (file allocation table) is updated, and the data itself is written to the disk.

I don't think that data written to a Zip disk, or a floppy disk for that matter, would affect the hard drive at all.

Files on the disk might be refered to in the "recent documents list"....
