When dragging attachment from an open email to desktop, get error

When trying to drag an attachment from the email onto the desktop, get error "Error Copying File. An error occured while copying the file".

Anyone seen this before? Any suggestions?

Could you precisely describe your actions?

Have you ever opened the attachment from inside the email? Is it still open?
Is this a forwarded email with an attachment?

I think it happens with all email whether forwarded or not.
You can open the attachment from within the email with no problems, I think you can right click on it and save it to the desktop but you just cannot drag it from the email to the desktop.
