Hi, imagine a full backup that has run for hours, writing 200GB to tape, but then fails for whatever reason near the end, so I don't have a valid full backup of that 200GB worth of files - in other words, those files *haven't* been backed up.
However, will the archive bits on the 200GB of files now be reset, incorrectly indicating that those files *have* been backed up (and don't need backing up again)?
When does Netbackup reset the archive bits...does it reset them as it's writing the information during the backup job, or does it only reset them at the end when it knows the backup was successful? (The latter would be the most logical!)
Thanks
Mike
