When deleting a computer that is not coming back, consider deleting the following:

NTDS Settings object
The computer account in the domain nc
The FRS subscriber object which is a child of the computer account
The FRS member object in cn=file replication service,cn=system...
The cname record in the _msdcs container
The A record in DNS
If this computer is the list dc in a child domain and "remove selected domain" is also selected, delete the trust relationship object for the child too.

Try to find as much information as you can on ntdsutil.exe I'm very confident that you will be able to solve it using this tool...

I have managed to remove it from AD users and computers although the way this happend was a tad odd!

After tring to delete the server from the domain controllers folder for days and getting the error The DSA obect can't be deleted i set up a new DC today and made it part of the AD went into users and computers clicked on the DC that has been removed selected delete and for some reason it removed it! Have no idea why it didn't work from other DC! and why installing this one should make a difference!

Once again thanks for your help!

Regards

Peter
