Whats the point with VxSS?

i don't think it watches what people do in the environment.
we just had it installed a couple of weeks ago. we did it because it allowed us to delegate certain tasks (ie. monitor jobs and vaults, restart failed jobs) to other groups without allowing them to alter policies, volume groups, devices and thing like that using the java admin console. this seemed to be a better way to manage user access to NB
installation was a one day thing really but just like every other veritas product, it was not straight out of the box simple.
