Hi,

I want to stop users accessing a particular URL.
What ways can I go about doing this?

I was thinking of adding the site's IP to DNS and point it to a 'ban' page or our intranet but not sure how to do this in AD DNS exactly.

We run ISA 2006 too.

Any help is appreciated.

If you are using ISA as a proxy server then use that to block the URLs; The below is for ISA 2004 but the procedure should be about the same in 2006.

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

Not got much experience with ISA personally, so if you want a good ole fashioned way modify the hosts file on workstations:
Code:
echo "ihatethiswebsite.com 127.0.0.1" >> %WINDIR%\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
