hi,
i have a 20gb hard drive (c:) with win-xp-sp2 installed on it, and an 80gb hdd as slave. i keep getting errors on c: drive, and i'm thinking about replacing that with a new hdd. what's the best way to do this without losing my data, programs, profile, desk top, etc.?

The best way to do it is, create an exact image of your current system drive (C:) and then replace/install your new HD and load the image on the new drive.

Oh by the way, for imaging utilities, I use Powerquest Drive Image, Norton Ghost is also pretty good. Google partition image and find a software you can use to image your hd.

Aconis True Image is the only way to do this properly and save yourself frustration.
