I'm looking for a control that will display SQL query results (from an Access database)in a grid-type format, & allow individual properties on cells.
Example-grid displays:
BooleanCheck FNAME LNAME M/F YEAR FEE Hired
|_| Joe Smith M senior paid 3/15/02
|_| Sally Jones F junior 3/10/02
|_| Amy Hill F junior paid 3/11/02

Now, the properties..
allow changes to yr, fee & hired columns, but NOT names
change background color of Sally/Fee field
(to highlight missing data)
and possibly allow a click on
Boolean Check field to pass to yes/no field in DB
As long as I am asking for the world...
would like field widths to be individually set
FNAME(5 char) LNAME(10 char) M/F(3 char)
I am working with the DBgrid now, but I cannot figure out
how to address the cells individually for width,
background color, & allow changes.

ALSO--Is there a GOOD reference source for VB COntrols?
I mean the BASICS... "to use this control you must have
this reference & this component. These are the properties..etc"

So far, this forum is the absolute BEST source that I have found!! Thanks BUNCHES to all the experts who share their time & knowledge!!!
