from a book I read that SQL SERVER only use one process.but when I use task manager(win2000 pro) to check. I find at least two process: sqlservr.exe and sqlmangr.exe. what's the different between them? thanks.

well the one is the manager process (the console you use to modify, update etc your server), the other is the server itself.
Have fun!
