Hi,

I formatted my computer, re-installed Office XP and now my Word appears to be different, it has different options now.

I've ringed them in red.

I have a couple of disks with office xp pro on (sample disks from Microsoft UK).

I was wondering how do I revert this back to the usual view?

Cheers
Tosh

The first one I saw shows you have the Print Layout choice selected under View. The L/reverseL in the corners is the indicator.

I don't see a problem with the font settings, those may be the defaults, mine are different on the USA English installation. I did a Full install instead of accepting the Default/standard installation. Mine shows the Font window a bit differently, more choices visible.

Yeh I like the Print Layout view, but I can't understand where the grey L has come from on the page. It's in all corners indicating where the margins are.

I used to have the same font dialog box as you described. I might have to re-format and see what happens next time.

I would not reformat over this issue.

1. Apply the Office Service Packs.
2. There are options to display/not display rulers, etc. and likely one was used in your earlier installation.
