What version of SP, 3 or 5?

If your machine isn't too fast, you will see either VB6 (SP3) or VB6 (SP5) on the splash screen when you open VB. You can also find it once VB is opened by going to the help menu and selecting "About Visual Basic" You'll see the same designation, either (SP3) or (SP5).
I believe you can download (for free) the SP5 service pack at the link below:
