In a particular business I need to add UPS units to, there are 5 IBM Terminals. They have problems whenever there is a power outage, power surge, etc. My question is, what is the most inexpensive solution for adding one UPS to each Terminal to prevent the surges and provide a short time of battery backup? I have about $400 for this project, and I have seen UPS-350 for 80.00 each. Are these useable for this purpose? Thanks for any advice or help you can offer.

Well, yes.
These 80 dollars UPSs will do it well with modern terminals or thin clients terminals.
If you have the old IBM 5250 terminals, those with the red stick switch, you will need at least 500 VA UPSs. Not because the terminal has 500 VA of continuous rating, but because the old power supplies used in those terminals present high instant ratings, and many cheap UPSs end up triggering overload protections randomly (I've sensed this situation with UPSONIC and Deltec small UPSs).

Regards,
