what program is the best

I'm setting up a few computer for the kids who live in my neighborhood but these are young kids and they are going to be acessing the internet what software is a good internet filter, to used.

I think the "filter" as you call it is a responsible ISP provider, they are the ones as internet providers that produce software with there internet connection that has the capabilities to filter or set restrictions on the sites accessed.
The only one in the UK I know of with this sort of control is AOL but as they are probably the biggest in the world I dare say you should have them where you are.
Or just phone around some internet providers and ask the question "does your service offer parental control and restricted access controls"
I guess there may also be some dedicated software that addresses such issues as well, help guys? Martin

Even with filtering software you have to watch what they are doing. Being closly involved with them when they are online is the best protection.
