Hi there,
I've got a computer room that another employee refuses to change from 50-55% humidity. Walking into the room where my servers are is like getting hit in the face with a wet towel, or walking into a rainforest.
Does anyone have any articles, or any reason why it should be that high? Shouldnt it be at 40% so there is no static and there is no dampness in the air? Hell, if I do work in there my shirt sticks to me because it's so wet.
His argument (and only argument) is "I've been keeping computer rooms at 50% humidity since 1962!" and he refuses to change.
I'm looking for some articles that can help me make him see the light, it's not 1962 anymore, the technology has evolved a bit.
