Dear all
I am trying to find out what is the difference between Milestone and Runlevel ? and Is the runlevel still used in solaris 10 ? .

Milestones are part of the new way of managing the startup and shutdown of services, introduced in Solaris 10. It's called the "Service Management Facility".

Runlevels still exist for backward compatibility.
