I have been told many different ways to create user profile in Win2k. One way is to copy the administrator user profile. Another is to login as the user itself and set all the settings.

But what is the correct and simplest way to create a user profile on, let say twenty win2k workstation without have to login as the particular user??

Thanks.

the best way i could think of is to make of the Active Directory on a Win2k Server to centralize all user configurations and profiles. you can even create a roaming user profile which allows a user to use his profile using any computer.

to create a user profile on a win2k pro machine do the ff:

1) open control panel
2) open administrative tools
3) open Computer Management
4) under Local Users and Groups right-click on Users, click on New Users
5) enter information as desired. repeat as necessary.

hope this helps

What I have found works well is to create a domain account called template. Log onto pc as template and create the settings etc that I want all users to get when they log in. Then copy template to default user. Remove any profiles that already exist on pc except for local admin. Then no matter who logs into pc they will get the same profile.
