I want to provide an automatic sound public address with the feature of the announcement sound level being louder when the ambient noise level is higher - and softer when things are quiet.
The announcements would be short .wavs like at an airport announcing departures.
I would have a local microphone connected to the sound card but it would have to be disabled when any noise was being produced by the computer otherwise it would kill it own self!
Any ideas?
