Terminal Services is a Service that comesbuilt in to Windows 2000 Server that allows for multiple users to use 1 computer for the software application that a company wants to run. It is usually used most with remote connections tht are slow or that require large amounts os data to be carried across a AN connection.
There are two types of Terminal Services in Windows 2000 Server.
1) Remote Administration mode--allows for only two conncurent connections at a time. Best used when you have 1 or 2 users who need to dial in for access.
2) Application Server mode--Mainly used when many conncetions are needed. (See first paragraph above). Requires a license server too be installed to regulate connections. Windows 95/98 clients requirea connection license to be issued by the license server. Windows 2000/XP Pro clients have licenses built in.
