what is mDNSResponder? Do I need it?

mDNSResponder is new to me, I have discovered it is a multicast DNS implementation. I run BIND for all my needs, do I need this?

Yes, I was looking at those before.. it almost sounds like WINS in the micro$oft world, would I be correct in this?

It does sound like it but to be honest I didn't spend too much time looking into it

Not a problem... I have had it disabled for a while.. hasn't affected anything...
