What if you want to store text longer then 65.000 chars?

The memo type can hold about 65.000 characters, but what if you want more ?

Yup,

An OLE Text or Word document.

Or you could just store the path of the doc in your table and then shell to it when referenced.

If it's a memo field, you can overload it if you bypass the Jet engine. I have personally loaded text documents and html docs into memo fields and each were over 100,00 characters and then retrieved them from the db with a query. You can't go thru Jet though, it all has to be done via vb and it seems that only text or html docs work that way. I'm looking for my code for this but I don't seem to have it with me. Essentially, I read the doc a character at a time into the memo field. Quick enough, worked fine.
