I see it referenced a bunch and I have to be honest - I don't know what it means!

Another post had a great list of "spre" codes.

Thanks!

Special prefix codes. They can be setup to access features like call park and speed dial lists and stuff by entering a code like *74 instead of having the key programmed on the phone.

spre is defined in the cdb, it goes before the ffc.. (the list you saw).. they may or may not work in your switch.. ld 56 prt ffc cust 0 code all will show you your local list.. they do not always match, some have defaults that can be changed, others do not...

for some feature you press the spree, then the ffc, others just the ffc

The way I stumbled on this list is looking into allowing multi line calling on our analog phones using the flash key. Someone said you could use a spre code if one of the additional parties had an aswering machine pick up and you wanted to hang up on just that line.

So would it go:

1. Call the first party
2. Call the second party but, oh no - got his answering machine
3. Dial the spre code by dialing *87 (I think that's the code) and hanging up on the answering machine
4. Continue on by dialing party 3

Thanks for the info!

Well, I tried dialing *87 and it didn't hang up on the line so, I guess that's not the right way to do it.

Any help???
