What causes engaged tone on receiving end?

Intermittent problem.

When I dial my call centre the IVR starts playing it's message. I select the correct option and the gets diverted through to a symposium call center.

When the agent answers her receive an engage tone.

What can cause this problem?


 
might just be a bad trunk or a single bad port somewhere in that call chain, try the entc commands in ld 80 to see if you can isolate the common link
