Those files are created from the install shield program when installing Macola. I believe it created them in the Macola76 or Macsql root folder in older versions of Progression. I don't believe it does this now for 7.6.300. In any case, the only issue with deleting them is if you decide to uninstall Macola from a computer, it may not run.
At most of my clients, I almost always clean them out. I by practice don't uninstall Macola using the add/remove programs because of issues related to earlier versions of Macola. Since I'm removing Macola only to reinstall it, I will delete the registry key hkey_local_machine\software\Macola, then delete the folder c:\program files\common files\macola shared and delete the file c:\windows\macola7.ini. I'll then reboot and install Macola as a normal install.
