I have a DC running somewhat smoothly. The DC is a Dell 4600 Dual Xeon processors, 2 Gigs RAM, running Raid 1 and Raid 5. DNS, DHCP, and all services are running with no errors or issues. The only thing I run on the DC is an application that is critical to the business.
My problem is this, in the evening, when no users are on the network, I go to view TASK MANAGER -> PROCESSES and looking at my cpu column, I notice that the cpu is idle around 60-70% and a process called Services.exe is taking the additional cpu resource.
What is causing this? I can reboot the server which clears the process. But I have to do this roughly once a week. This problem does not happen daily.
Any clues?
Thanks.
